DIY bottle lamp BEGINNERS GUIDE😍👀

I upcycle a cool looking empty bottle into a stylish lamp, using a two free bottles and kits I bought off Amazon for £17 each. I was really pleased with the results!!
The lamp holder and pre wired plug I used is below:

Only watched part of video but stopped to say you should be wearing a mask if you havent one on, a specific one with filters too for cutting things like glass and stone so finely you dont want to damage your lungs mate

Thank you for an interesting & informative video. That Haig is easy to drink as well as a beautiful blue bottle! I have a few old light fittings from a school hall used for productions & wanted to convert them for use in an outdoor bar, do you think it is achievable using similar products? It’s an indoor outside bar) Kind regards.

Rookie error: the dregs of alcohol in the bottle would've got rid of the sticky labels licketty-split 🙂

WD-40 works awesome at getting sticker glue off as well.

Lighter fuel. Will also lift glue off completely.

Always use the correct tools for the job, side cutters should never be used as a spanner and it would be easier to tighten the bung when it is in situ

I work in a bottle company and what we do when we mess up with the label just peel it off rub it down with rubbing alcohol wipes comes right off good luck

How do you know what wires go where like how do you tell the difference between the live and the ground wire . Is this colour system universal

Hi, I don’t know what part of the world you’re from but in Europe and uk the system is the same, so earth is yellow and green, brown is live and blue is neutral. Not sure what it is in USA. For the lamp just make sure the metal fitting is earthed so it’s safe and then in this instance it doesn’t matter which way round you put the live and neutral.

Is there a name for the piece you placed in the bottle and tightened up so it snug in the bottle top? I've ordered things on Amazon and have not seen the kit you used. Your help is greatly appreciated.

What exact fitting did you get off of amazon? I’m not sure which ones will fit the Edison bulbs you used at the end. Love the video, great work

Very nice, thank you! But please use a mask when drilling into glass as it is basically silica, which is not good for your lungs...
