Londyn belle : You need to do backward from the bottom part (elastic) then you just shorten the band and stitch it back like before. For quick way but not neat looking just removed the bow then shorten it and joined it make sure you cover the stitch line with the bow.

I have made a couple of these for my daughter and they are so easy and cute! Thank you for the tutorial! The only issue I have had is she pulls on the bow once and pulls the bow part right out of the headband, no matter how tight I make the center piece. Do you reinforce it in any way?
