The tutorial is great. Few steps and very explanatory. However, in my case I have tried 3 times with 3 different materials and cannot get the brim to match up evenly with top part. Brim seam line always larger and buckles when I sew. Any suggestions?

It is advisable to align the parts with a pin first and then gradually adjust the edge to equalize before sewing will help.

I actually tested the pattern and sewed the large size. It came out perfect though I have no picture to show. As any such project, the choice if fabric is very important not only for the final look, but as well for the quality and expected performance (draped, flow, sturdiness, etc). I enjoyed sewing the project. It was as simple as it could be. Thanks again for sharing and replying.

Michelle I just downloaded the pattern and saved as a pdf to my computer and all is well. If you are printing direct from the download that may be the problem. Hope it helps. I made the hat twice now and love it. Super easy and fun. I thought the brim was a tad long but you can always trim it.
