See below for grunge/antiquing technique recipe and supply list for this project.
Grunge materials and process:
- step 1: Mix water, Vanilla Extract, Instant Coffee, 2 Cinnamon sticks and Cinnamon together
- Step 2: Shake, store in container.
- Step 3: Submerge sock in mixture, soak for 5 minutes.
- Step 4: Wring out and remove.
- Step 5: Place on cookie sheet. Sprinkle a bit of cinnamon on top
- Step 6: Place in oven at 300 for 15 minutes.
- Step 7: check Then and scrunch and back in oven for an additional 10-15 minutes, checking until dry.
Supplies:
- Tube Sock (dollar tree or an old one)
- Scissors
- Cardboard optional for ears that stand up (cereal boxes, cracker boxes)
- Clothes pins (arms)
- Hot glue gun/hot glue sticks
- Fabric/scrap material (inside ears and outfit)
- Buttons (eyes and optional outfit accents)
- Jute string or string (for tying together and accents)
- Polyfill
- Sharpie or fabric pen (drawing nose and mouth)
