The hatch hits the front lip point of the wicker on both sides of the car. Use heat gun to warm up and bend out a bit. 1/4 inch. Looks cool in my back tires stick to the ground better but made my car slower

The threaded insert that was inserted to existing spoiler ,did that come with the kit ,or do you purchase that separately at auto parts ?My after market wickerbill did not supply that.and what is the threaded sleeve called. rivet, grommet,tap out sleeve ?

Has the spoiler held up well since you've done this? Looking to do this with mine but worried about the winglets loosening over time.

THESE WICKER BILL WINGLETS AND THE SMOKE PLEXIGLASS CENTER BRIDGE DO NOT MATCH UP ON A Z51 SPOILER. ALSO THERE IS NO INDENTATION OR PREDRILLED HOLES AND RIVNUTS ON A Z51 SPOILER FOR WINGLETS, LIKE THERE IS ON A Z06 SPOILER. TO REPLACE SPOILER THE WHOLE REAR FACIA HAS TO BE REMOVED. I HAD TO SEND MY WINGLETS AND CENTERBRIDGE BACK.

Franklin Cain I just installed this on mines. You are right it does not match up, mainly on the outside corners but I just pressure fitted it. I drilled 5 holes on each side my spoiler, then used rivet nut inserts, then used 1/4-20 security screws. It came out very well. Not sure how this guys is going to hold up since he only tapped 3 of the 5 screws need to be held in place

@@jeremykvigil1 you would need to use "threaded rivets". I taped it off like he did, then drilled with the smallest drill bit and gradually increased it in size till I was able to fit the rivet tightly in it. I then used a rivet gun to insert the threaded rivet. I did not use the tapping/epoxy method this guy uses in the video. There is no need with rivet inserts. Then I place every rivet in its hole and got some security screws and screwed it in. I have gotten many compliments on the job that I did. I took my time and measured 4or5 times bc I did not want to mess up.

You should delete this video ..this is not the correct winglet for the z51 spoiler ..this is the correct one … type this on eBay …. Rear Trunk Wing Spoiler Wicker bill w/ Rivnut Gun For 14-19 Corvette C7 Stingray
