DIY Camper Build - Episode 23 - Fitting a water pump and micro-switched tap

Hi and thanks for visiting my channel. This is a series of planned videos that will document the transformation of my van into a part-time camper van.
In this episode: I have decided to go with an electric 12v water pump for my sink, I am pairing this with a chrome effect micro-switched tap. Finally, be sure to use 'food safe' hose pipe to connect them together.
I am going to be living the vanlife as often as possible and posting updates and blogs along the way. Subscribe to follow my build!

Really good vid mate. One thing I would have added when you drilled the whole into the cap was to add some type of rubber washer around the cord and hose on the top and bottom. 1. It would keep them from moving and 2. Would keep out more dust and dirt, otherwise this is a great idea.

Really helpful video, does the Whale pump you have work with any tap? I have a regular cold only kitchen tap that I want to use in my van conversion, but not sure if it has/needs to have a microswitch fitted? Thanks :)

Put a plug on what? If you mean the pump, yes but you'd need a power converter because the pump is only 12V.

Why do u have ur drain pipe into a separate grey water tank, just let that grey water drain through the van onto the ground. Fuck it lol I enjoyed this video, cheers. I plan on making one similar with a manual hand crank pump for my facuet #freecountdankula
