haha, don't be too jealous. I moved and sold the van shortly after that. I got her back on the road, licensed and good to go but not quite camp ready. It still had lots of water leaks in the high top. Oh well. I do miss it though.

I actually sold that van when I thought I needed a tractor for my new property (I bought 10 acres). Then the tractor died... so I sold that. I've been dreaming of picking up a short bus and doing a conversion in that though

A workflow after my own heart: Step 1: make a "kinda close enough" template on paper, rough cut, plan to trim it out to fit. Step 2: use computerized precision to make a snazzy thing that'll be visible and utilize what would otherwise be an awkward design element (the wheel hump) and turn it into a bespoke bit of cabinetry. Step 3: Slap some masonite on the back. Hold it down with big 'ol rocks. Step 4: Do a victory dance with the cabinet.

well, I bought a farm, so now I'm selling this beauty. I probably won't build the bed for it like I was initially planning. Then again, if no one buys it, maybe I will!

super tedious stuff doing the custom fits. Do you have something in software doing the tabs automatically?

no, I'm manually creating everything right now. I did the first cabinet without any tabs to make it prettier, but then when I did the 2nd with tabs it was so much easier, it was worth the extra effort. I guess I could do blind tabs if I really want the best of both worlds.

I do have an instagram but that van is long gone. I miss it. Like all my antique vans I go through a period of absolutely LOVING getting it going, then just absolutely stressing while trying to drive it distances. Ultimately I sold it for some farm equipment. Now I want another antique van dammit.
