This turned out gorgeous. I'm inspired and I will for sure create the centerpiece. I'm waiting to move into my new home and I keep gathering all kinds of glass pieces and beads. I found on ebay several sources of beads and bling for a fraction of what we pay here. If time is not a factor anyone can get them from there. I never pay full price for anything. LOL. Hi, Lori! I am glad you liked the project! Great question. The LED lights travel up on and reflects through the stem of the riser and the submersible lights shines through the glass bowl. It does light up nicely. The light is not bright and one riser will probably not illuminate an entire room, but a few of them will give the room a nice white glow. I hope this helps. Thank you for sharing this great idea! I am going to make something like this for my daughter's wedding centerpieces, but we will be using foam roses to make them. Silk roses are great when they are high quality, but I have noticed that every time I buy a bunch of them, there are a lot of deformed, misshapen blossoms in the bunch-NOT SO WITH FOAM ROSES-if you unpack them as soon as they arrive parcel post! Foam roses are perfectly formed and have the look of being made of gum paste and fondant-perfect for a wedding! I hate it when I have to pay for deformed roses!

Thank you! You are going to LOVE the foam roses! I found that if you get the 7 cm ones, they have a foam core that you can just spear with a floral pick stick (you do not even need the wire on the pick). I got 6 bridesmaid's bouquets done in about 45 minutes with these and they are so inexpensive! Do you have an email address for your channel that I could send photos to when I am finished? I also have been having a BALL taking these laser-cut fleur de lis's (they are wooden), spray painting them silver, and attaching clear acrylic gems to them. They are so gorgeous when they are "blinged out." We plan to use them as decor at the church and reception.

Ebay! I got 700 white (just the flower heads because I wanted an pomander/kissing ball look for all of her arrangements, but they also sell the stemmed ones for a bit more) for 56.00. And unlike real roses, the white ones are truly wedding white, not the yellowed look where the petals bruise easily. For her reception, she wants them in every color of the pastel rainbow (every bridesmaid is wearing a different colored dress-my daughter is unconventional, but it might actually be pretty). We ended up ordering all of the pastel shades. They are lovely! Not many people know about the foam roses, but they are exquisite and when you buy in bulk, you can be sure every blossom looks good. I will send some pics of some things when my daughter gets home from Outer Banks next week-she has the camera-I do not even have a mobile! LOL I do not even want to THINK about what 700 real roses would cost us from a florist.....we are on a tight budget!

It looks like you can get 100 flower heads in the color of your choice for about 9 dollars with FREE SHIPPING! The floral picks (or even barbecue skewers, cut down, can be used for stems. Each skewer could be used to mount 3 roses or more into the oasis foam. When I bought floral picks for the bouquets, WalMart only had the long ones. After figuring out I did not need the wire, I halved the sticks and just speared the rose foam cores and popped them into the oasis on the holders. They are very well fastened (my ten year old shook all of them like a pair of maracas) and no roses fell out of the arrangement.
