Nice! I'll have to try and grab the measurements from your drawn up plan early in the video. My 7 year old will likely LOVE one!!!

This is one of those silly projects that we still use a lot. Your seven year old will love it.

"So far we haven't died" is the best barometer for success I have ever heard. Love the video!

Ha. Yeah, I tried to edit out my laughter when he said that but you can still hear it faintly in the background. Our 100% walnut oil is awesome for food safe finishes. We heard about it from the worth the effort podcast. What’s a better food safe finish than an actual food? We picked it up in a Walmart grocery isle near the olive oil.

Nice one. Did a similar candy dispenser with my kids a few years back. Fun family project. We finished with butcher block conditioner, which is basically mineral oil and a little bit of pizzazz.

We want to make a candy dispenser just wondering if you could tell me the diameters of the wood and stuff
@FridayWorkshop3 жыл бұрын
We weren’t great about listing dimensions in this old video. Sorry about that.. The main body is about 135mm wide by 130mm long. The base is about 135mm by 260mm long and the slider is about 65mm wide by 290mm long. We used 1” thickness wood from Home Depot or Lowe’s that was S4S (pre surfaced on all four sides)

A 1x3 for the slider and sides and a 1x6 for the base and top and you won’t have to do much cutting at all.

Great job!! Have you tried any other candies in it by chance?

M&Ms work well. I bet d&d dice would fit into there too.
