“Chestnuts roasting on an open fire!”…….Just don’t roast any chestnuts in this fireplace for obvious reasons hehe! 🔥 😂 Hope you guys enjoy this tutorial! Tag me on Instagram if you decide to make a fireplace of your own!

Very beautiful. Gave me an idea. I already have a closed up fireplace with a built-in heater that doesn't work. The pillars are painted white. I'm going to put some cardboard in the opening to cover the broken heater and paint the pillars and make a beautiful fake fireplace.

Thank you for your very sweet comment! Yes, contact paper can be a real pain to work with sometimes. It did require patience in order to prevent bubbles and wrinkles, but it was worth the effort! :) Thanks again! 💕

Ooh I love this! Great idea! It looks amazing. The marble and tile contact paper work great together. It looks like something from HGTV. You’ve inspired me to take an antique fireplace mantle I’ve have for years and make a faux fire place. I love the battery operated candles. That’s a perfect place for them. I’m not sure when I can do it but it’s definitely going on my list :)

Reading your comment made me so happy! I'm glad you are feeling inspired to make a faux fire place with your antique mantle, and I bet whatever you come up with will be gorgeous! You are already such a creative person when it comes to making things for your cage themes. I know this will be no different and no less stunning once you are done. 😍 I'd love to see it! That is beautiful. You have inspired me. How did you get the lights in the back of the fireplace to shine through the cardboard? I love the way they flicker
@HoppinglyEverAfter5 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much and it makes me happy that you are feeling inspired! 😊 The lights you see bouncing off of the back panel are just from the flicker candles. They shine up slightly and reflect off of whatever you put them near. I LOVE these candles because they're incredibly realistic, but 100% safe with no fire hazard! If you're interested in getting some, here is the link from Amazon: amzn.to/34wBb41

Wow hahahaha LOL! I didnt click on this video notification because i thought this was from the "TheSorryGirls". And i thought it could wait. Just now i saw it was yours lol hahaha. I think this fireplace looks sooo beautiful! I never wouldve thought you made this! Its incredible! Where did you find the idea to make this? 😍😍 How have you been? Hope you had a good weekend!😊
@HoppinglyEverAfter5 жыл бұрын
Hello!! 😊 That's funny about the notification and I have never heard of "TheSorryGirls" channel before, but do they do a lot of DIY videos? I will have to look them up! Thank you so much for your compliments! Last year when I really wanted a fireplace, I came across a video from a channel called "Isa's World" where she made one out of cardboard. I thought to myself, "That sounds too difficult and I wouldn't be able to make one that looks as nice as hers!" These past few weeks I got thinking about Christmas and how pretty it would be to have one, so I remembered the tutorial and looked up other ideas for cardboard fireplaces. It just sort of came together and I'm honestly surprised about it! I'm not much of a DIY person hehe. 💕 Thank you again! I have had a great weekend and have been so busy and immersed in various filming projects. It's a great feeling. How are you doing lately? Have you done anything fun recently? :)

@@HoppinglyEverAfter yes they do a lot of DIY videos! You should definitely check them out! ❤ Im super excited for christmas as well! My boyfriend is coming over for 4 whole weeks! He lives in the Netherlands, so he has to go with a plane to get to me!😅 I cant wait to see him and hold him tight!😍🥰

Hello again! I believe this would cost around $25-$30 to make, depending on what supplies you already have and if you do the 2 layers of contact paper vs. 1 layer. I think it actually cost me a bit less since some of the items I already had at home and didn't have to specifically buy them. Regardless, it's a good deal considering most fireplaces start at around $200+ and can go up to $700+! :) Hope this helps!

Hi HoppingHammy how are you doing today fine I hope, You have out done yourself this time. I really thought that you had a new fire place in. And you are so creative I am so not creative, can you come round and do mine please. It looks really nice though. I think I really have to watch this video again. I really hope that you are doing well too. I'm really doing well too. Beauty and Ginny are doing well too. Well Ginny has to go to the vet's office on Thursday she has to be sedated or she would bite and scratch them she's very naughty. She's going because were seeing if the new meds are working or not. Well take real good care of yourself and lots of love from Jackie Beauty and Ginny bye for now love Jackie xxxx

Thank you Jackie and I'm so happy to hear from you! I was hoping you were okay and that Beauty and Ginny were okay too. Very pleased to hear they are doing well and I hope you are able to get a good report back from the vet's office, once Ginny has her appointment! I certainly remember how stressful that vet appointments can be with an animal who tries to bite. My dog didn't like going either. Take good care of yourself too and blessings on your week! 💕
