Wow! Thank you so much for the tutorial and for letting us know the materials you used. I just recently moved into an empty flat and bought a table and chairs. There's so much cardboard from their delivery that it got me thinking what could be done with that. As I could use some furniture, I'll give this a try! Super helpful, thanks a ton

@@unSeife so I'm halfway through it (still collecting enough old papers and magazines for the coating and waiting for drier weather such that it doesn't catch mold as the papier mache tries to dry), but I'm really glad with the result and how the hot glue and carton successfully hold together the structure! I'm not so skilled in crafts and I could follow each step :) recommend, recommend 🙌

I bet you could get paid lots of money to make sets for movies n stuff. You're pretty good at this stuff from what I can tell.

I wonder how strong it is. I would have used a wood structure/armature on the inside. I mean for additional support

Qual produto tem dentro desse balde? Eu quero saber quais materiais você usa? Se alguém puder me responder em português fico muito agradecida.

Hi... what's the white thing that you used ... Can i use plaster of paris instead?
@ShayLynnPaddie11 ай бұрын
I have tried so many times to use plaster of Paris but, on the curves especially, I get major cracking. Even when I use thin layers I can’t seem to keep it from cracking. I’ve seen other people use generic joint compound, so im gonna try that next. But I don’t wanna spend a ton on the finish because my initial thought was to build something cheaper than buying something new 😅

I found a video a couple years ago of a lady who has a channel called ultimate paper Mache. You can use her recipe instead and it’s much more durable and longer working time than plaster of Paris. You can actually refrigerate her recipe and use it for up to 3 weeks after making it. She has a lot of recipes to make it in different ways if you don’t have joint compound or plaster of Paris. Hope that helps you!
