The ten inch walnut Appalachian banjo is the best instrument I've ever played. It's a tackhead. The sound is deep and resonant. Easy to tune friction tuners.Stays in tune. The walnut stain on the goat head looks old timey . Brian Carver is a true artist and does build a functional magical sounding traditional banjo. Thanks Brian🤠🪕. Great shipping box too.

Is it possible to play the nylon strings with finger picks? I'm interested in playing Banjo but I'd like to play "Scruggs" style and im not sure if the nylon will hd up. Thanks for making a cool ass banjo!

Is it possible to put regular Machine heads on these ? (Especially the 5th string). AND - Why did you go away from the larger / stronger rectangular centre post to the dowl or does having the one piece, deeper neck more than make up for the difference ? I ask because I have seen your previous set ups where the Centre post is screwed to the thinner neck. I am also wondering if it may be possible (If the head finally dies or I stuff up the instalation) if putting a few drum brackets and a drum head on it would be an option ? One more question - How is it that a frettless is the same price as a fretted when the work of fretting the neck must add time and cost to the equation ?
