I made one of these, out of cat-print fabric - because why not? It turned out lovely, and I added a pair of webbing straps so I could tie it around my waist; it keeps it snug to my body so that when I'm bending over it doesn't swing away. I've worn it around the house pretty much every day, because it fits everything I need and more for when I'm bumbling around the house. I love it to bits. Thank you so much.

I finished my first sling bag. Great pattern and instructions. I actually used the waistband from the skirt I cut up for the shoulder strap. That saved a few steps and it still has the waistband buttons for a bit of detail. The zippers turned out pretty good too (Im terrible at zippers) and the top stitching turned out good. The only thing I had trouble with was trimming the seams before I turned the bag right side out. They were to thick for me to trim them down. Thanks for a great pattern. This bag will be for my farmers market and craft show booths this summer so i don't have to carry a bag.

I've been looking for a pattern for one of these bags for a while. I am so glad I found this one. Super easy to follow instructions, not too difficult if you have advanced sewing skills. I put on an adjustable strap for a change. I am very happy with my bag and thank you!

I watched you deciding to put that patch on the pocket and thought "too late to put it there", but no, you powered through and it looks great. Nice design, I think I have the perfect piece of fabric for it too.

Thanks for the tutorial. It came out great. I did add a tab to the front zipper where it meets the side zipper as i was using a #5 and didn't want the bulk of it in the seam. I think you pushed your zipper tabs towards the outer when you sewed the main seam. When I did that, they looked terrible so I redid them pushed to the lining side.
