I like them all, it's hard to pick a favorite. . . I like the deeper blue with sparkles and I like the swivel hooks so they could blow like trees in the wind.(Nell) I've been working on feathers after watching Secret's video and Kelly's. : ) as you said we all inspire each other.

I love the one in the window on the far right. That's my favorite. I need to get stamps and alcohol inks and some charms to incorporate into mine. I'm going to try to make a mobile with these and some other things. Probably will figure it out as I go lol. Thanks for the video, I loved it and my daughter stopped over while I was playing it and she liked it immediately and she only saw about 20 seconds of it lol.

I save everything too..ends of wire gets made into silver/copper toned solder or remelted (especially the fine silver or 925...you know what I mean. ...that is why I loved your channel on first sight. ..you ticked all the boxes...love it all so much! ) KZbin is an amazing source of information on crafts, medicinal plants...I was taught all the Scottish ones by a Wise Woman who lived near us...as kids my sister and I wouldn't stay away and she came round and eventually taught me everything I know to keep myself, my family and my many animals healthy and as resistant as I can make them to illnesses. ..the herbs I use are easily accessible to me and I have also read up on foreign herbs and plants that have all the right stuff to treat sickness and minor injuries, as well as enhancing their immune systems. I always run what I am thinking of using past the vets in the relevant charities and I ALWAYS call a veterinary surgeon when in doubt or if the animal is critically ill or injured. I hope you have a great Samhain and a healthy, happy 2018 and I am stoked over finding your channel ...you're working along the same lines as I am. I can't express exactly how great finding your channel is. I hope to have a full Solar/Wind hybrid system up and running by next summer and although the cabin has a sleep loft, I am getting on a bit so am 'building in' my bed...a kind of cross between Varda caravan beds and the beds people who had crofts had...I can't see me being up for the ladder climbing in the middle of the night. Also I have always liked the idea of Balinese beds with curtains and high wooden sides...its a security thing I think. ...having my bedspace closed off, with built in shelves for the current books or my tablet for movies I want to watch in the evenings. Your ideas are going to make it a much prettier, more eclectic place which is perfect for my creative process.

I love all this stuff you do and uo/recycling is key....your work is also gorgeous. ..its exactly what I wanted to be surrounding me in my workspace (its a cabin in a big bir of woodland halfway between Aberdeen and Inverness. I have my hot metal jewellery tools up there. ...the local council in London frowns on melting silver copper etc....the smoke detector goes off and its crazy making! The recycling is brilliant. ..my cabin is off grid.. (rainwater harvesting, sustainable woodstove/cooker/oven, propane/butane for the jewellery work but that's mostly on the porch as the gas causes really bad condensation. This particular video is lovely xx

I just got told that soaking the cds in hot water first will prevent splintering. Worth a try (and that was from a lady on fb who mosaiced her bathroom wall with cd's!). I love what you've done. I thought that was a handy tip though so I've shared it with you and with sigrid soho who was inspired by you. Wishing you peace, love and continued creativity

I scored my cd with a razor and then I kept heating up my scissors with a candle flame, not hot,hot just warm. It probably wasn't the safest method but I didn't notice a smell and I worked on a flat surface. I'd like to know, if you do this method, warm water seems safer. My mom wants another one so I'll be doing it soon 😂😁 Happy crafting!

I thought I would have to have tin snips to do this craft so I haven't touched my stack of C.d. s, but now I know that it is possible with regular, durable scissors. AWESOME Sweet Cali !!! I watched Secret, Kelly Donovan, and You....I have a feeling that there are going to be a ton of CDs turning into Feathers, Moons & Stars...What a way to Spread Love & Peace across the World :) Been using Fishing swivels for a while...Hubby is a Angler, he even ties his own Fly's for Fly Fishing...any who , he told me that the swivels work for hanging all kinds of things...so those I have...Need to pick up some Dollar store CDs...all mine have Data( Family Pictures, Movies ETC) I looked but don't have any ones to use :( So when I buy some to play with I will see if I can make some Feathers & Moons... Hi love your videos! I have been making cd earrings and was having trouble with them cracking. after you use your ink and designs I used Mod Podge on it to give them a little stability so far so good no cracking !!!!

Cali, I just love all your hanging mobiles. I'm also crazy about hanging things in every window. I have a question about the moon with star mobile. Did you have to sand around the edges of the moon and star to get rid of the rough edges where you used scissors to cut? Or I guess running a hot iron around the edges would smooth them out. Hi Cali. I LUV your work and Iv made lots of the cd mandalas which all my family and friends absolutely love. I want to make the cresent moon but im in Austraila and we dont have the paint that you use. I was just wondering what else I can use. Is it the spray paint you use for glass??? We dont have any type of craft spray paint so was wondering what i could use instead. Any ideas please. Cheers lovely lady. Sharon

I would try anything ...watered down acrylic paint, stained glass paint, alcohol markers , permanent ink stamping, nail polish.....let me know how it works out for you, thanks for watching, have a great week :)

Thanks for commenting :) I don't think the alcohol would work ,you can try it ,i know that acetone will melt the CD so be careful...you need to actually pull the coating off..I've had good luck with masking tape too...good luck :)
