This video brought me so much joy. I started watching you when I was around 11 years old (23 now). You were really the first person I started watching on KZbin and because of you I grew a love for crafting. I asked for Polymer clay for Christmas that year 😂 my parents went to so many craft stores just to find it. This video made me feel like an 11 year old again. Thank you ❤️❤️

Making a dragonfly was my goal on that vacation. Fun times, and people got free art... my montra in life. Free thoughtful art for people you care for is what I live for.

Great tutorial!! 👏👏 I remember these being a thing when my oldest daughter was in school.🌺 So I'm guessing in the 90's? It seems like they often used the plastic string, but that might be that it was easier for little ones to do it?
@SoCraftastic3 жыл бұрын
Thank you!! 😊 And yes the plastic string was often used for boondoggle & beadie buddies. Since so many people had it I'm sure they used it for jewelry also (+ it does seem like it'd be easier for the young kids to hold on to).

curious question: Is there a type of art you have always wanted to do, but what ever reason never fo into it? For me would be glass blowing (info: I graduated college majoring in art and THEN they offered a glass blowing class... typical). I just love how you're doing art you love and brings you joy. It is not my type of art, but you and your videos are so relaxing for me after I get off work at my new job. I will always be here waiting for your next post. Keep up the awesome work!
@SoCraftastic3 жыл бұрын
Oil painting for sure! I have this vision that after we're able to renovate the attic here I'm going to use it as my art studio. Glass blowing would be awesome! Haha That figures right. Hopefully you get a chance to take some classes & learn a new trade. Also, thank you for watching my videos! Right now I'm focusing on creating craft projects I can sell - and ones that can be created in a fraction of the time of my artwork so I can build a large stock. Glad you enjoy these more crafty projects too. And hope your new job is going well!

@@SoCraftastic I am currently teaching myself stained glass. My new job has been so tough on me that I have no down time and have to travel more to get there. My mental health is barely hanging on. I am working to try to fix my job situation, so hopefully I can get more art time. I got layed off from my last job, and as I worked to finish it out (Job moved out of FL and they closed the building.) I bought a home with my brother, moved back home, and now my commute is about 1.5 hour in total (am +pm). Make good money, but what is the point ifvyou can't have fun with it. Your videos as I unwind have really been a blessing to me. Thank you for the momentary escape in my busy life.

Im wondering if something is just me or if it’s actually a thing. (This is not intended to be malicious at all) is it me or is the handling always kind of awkward? It’s probably just to allow viewers to see what’s going on but it just seems like she’s struggling to handle things. For example she seems to do a lot of things one handed, been wondering this for years but didn’t know how to word it.

please don't do the straightener one it is so dangerous. I have seen some where the beads melted and stuck the straighteners togther. Experts have even warned against it.
