If mounting ,drill out using a 3/8 drill bit and a 5/16 bolt fits in perfectly to anything.

As a beginner I'd like to try this and expand on it as I learn about solar. If the inverter is 400 wats why wouldn't it run a 75 watt fridge for a while?

I couldn't see how you attached the ring ends to the battery. Did you just hold them against the batt posts and clip them?

I've figured out that to be successful with Wind and Solar You need to Double the size of the system to carry a determined load. otherwise you find the weak link very quickly.

Computers, electronics, switcher-type wall wart phone chargers aren't going to like the modified sine wave power coming out of that inverter. Just saying. Are there cheaper true sine wave inverters in the 300-400 watt range that don't cost an arm and a leg? Maybe a Chinese model?

You are correct. Most don't realize the damage they can do. This a very good inverter for the money. I own one and it works great for a lot of things. You can find it on Amazon pretty cheap. Definitely worth the few extra bucks. BESTEK 500W Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter.
