I have a complaint 😆 I so wanted to see more of the chickens enjoying their chunnel. Loved this video. Tku x

Super idea. Best idea so far that I've seen on KZbin for chicken tunnels. Cheap, quick. I'd be worried that the dogs would still be able to get in. The tarp I'd change to green and tie it down more securely.

By far the most well explained and demonstrated how-to-build-a-chicken-tunnel video I’ve seen yet and I’ve seen many. Thank you!

Love how you added a tarp for the chicks, in case they get scared they can run for cover. I also loved the simplicity of this- I guess as they got older & larger you coud bend that chicken wire to be little more narrow but yet taller as they grow. Well done.

I thought the same....a little taller would be better. I loved the idea of this project. Thank you!! Great idea!!

We have a chicken tunnel from old wire fencing that leads from the main pen to a moveable area. The hens love it! The gentle ones can be peacefully away from the mean pecking order.

Hi! I've looked at a lot of chunnels on here and yours is best by far in my opinion. I built one for my chickens. Thanks!

Thanks. Easiest one I’ve seen so far. I’ve been trying to figure out how to make a portable simple Chunnel myself.

Thanks for answering. I have pigeons and a mink got in my coop once and slaughtered almost all of them. I use hardware cloth now and its underground too to keep them out. Great idea for your chickens.

What were you using for the wires that held the wire in place???? I didn't catch it?
@Dreamworld986
@Dreamworld986 2 жыл бұрын
How long are the chickens in this tunnel? I'd be concerned for their safety. A coyote or mink would have no problem getting in there. There should be wire on the bottom too to keep predators out.
@gardengrowneat1204
@gardengrowneat1204 2 жыл бұрын
We only put them in there while we're out in the garden. When we aren't around we put them back in the bigger pen.

Can you turn this tunnel to a 45-degree angle?
@gardengrowneat1204
@gardengrowneat1204 Жыл бұрын
You sure could. You'd have to take one side of the wire and pin it down, then use that as your turning point. The wire opposite of the pin will bunch. You can either cut the excess and zip tie it or just keep it bunched if you want to make it straight again in the future.

I would never use a flimsy tarp to lock them in dogs ir whatever will have a hay day going in that tunnel and killn those chickens.

Did it work for you? I have tried temporary runs like this before and unless it is connected to their usual space, the birds would stand at one end bemoaning their new purgatory and not do a bit of work.

Stephen Tueller this has worked for us so far. It's 50 feet long and we throw some treats in for them. they seem to love it!

It lasted for just over 2 years. We took it down in the winter and accidentally caught it in the tiller the second year. I'm sure it would have lasted longer.
