DIY Christmas Motorized Blowing Snow Globe - Red Truck Falling Snow - Dollar Tree Christmas Decor

Easy How To Tutorial - In this video I will show you how to make this fun Motorized Christmas Snow Globe / Lantern. This Snow Globe Box gives the effect of falling snow. This would make a great Christmas gift or nice touch to bring falling snow inside to your Christmas decorations.
I apologize if it was not clear in the video on how the snow blows. After you set the base over fan turn the fan on from the back for blowing snow and turn the fan off if you do not want the snow blowing.

Every holiday I say I am going to make 1 of these snowglobes!!! I think I have decided to affix the tulle with velcro and buy many bags of the snow. Use toys on the bottom instead of the windows. That way I can remove the tulle and change it all out according to season. Dye some of the snow pastel colors for Easter. Use red snow and maybe some tiny hearts for Valentine's day. Orange and black for Halloween. Just some thoughts. I can NEVER watch a video without figuring how I would make it to fit my lifestyle!!!

I made mine and I loved it but I had a problem with the snow sticking on the glass so someone advised me to use static cling dryer sheets and roll the snow in it in a plastic bag then pour it in your globe and it worked. I can't wait to use mine at Christmas. my picture in the back was a picture of the front of my house when it snowed here in Montgomery Alabama two years ago.

What an awesome idea!. It looks easy to make and could be modified for different looks. Even seasons! Spring could blow small flowers, fall blows leaves, new years could blow confetti around. All with matching back grounds and frames...Love it! I must make one or five :)

A very ingenious way of making a snow globe or box your own specifications. I would never have thought of such thing myself. You could also paint a scene on the inside of the glass on one or more sides, but not the front. Think of possibly using multiple glass layers without frames about an inch apart, each with a part of the scene for a true 3D effect. The sections/blocks of glass would be attached to the frames with glue to thin metal or wood strips that crossed over to the top and bottoms of the frames before adding the base. You could also just use a round glass tube inside with elements painted on that to achieve 3D. This would be easier and my preference. Snow would be between each layer of glass. I noticed that static buildup occured sticking snow pellets to the glass at the bottom. Not sure how to counteract that. But it would have to be solved to do the multiple layers for it to look realistic. I would also add a ribbon trim to the top to cover the glued netting. Really cool project, thanks!
