a poodle in a noodle

Curious how this worked out for your poodle? Her nose is quite a bit longer than the width of the noodle, so I could imagine her getting at her surgical site pretty easily.

Wow 😊 had my dogs abscess drained literally and hour ago and I had an old pool noodle in my basement! I have a dog cone but that seems so uncomfortable. Thank you!

I think this would work for surgical incision higher up the body but I think a dog could still reach a spay or neuter wound

Yes agreed and maybe tgey can squeeze them out as well

That’s what I’m concerned about. My baby just got spayed today and she is in the cone. I want to try this but I think she could get around it and mess with her stitches

I’d like to know how this worked out. My Aussie doodle would be able to eat the noodle AND get to the incision in that

This is awesome. My yorkie had 5 teeth pulled today and he has the cone on & he is struggling. I will try the pool noodle tomorrow. Thanks for sharing.

Seems like if one did two stacked rings with those cut segments, it would work more effectively?

Wow 🥺 good idea. Mine won't allow me to even get close growling. Bitting. I figure if I make a noose and lassoo him, the knot will get smaller. When it does I can cut off the excess. I can precalculate a stop because neck was pre measured in his pre-violent days. So if I fail at cutting excess it won't get tighter and tighter. Using thin rope

Thank you for solving my problem. It is currently Sunday and my small town vet has no emergency line (Bayshore Veterinary Clinic, L’Anse, MI. They will never be forgiven).My lil buddy gouged himself on a stick and I just have to keep him away from it for now. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

My dog can get around those soft, doughnut collars, so I doubt this would work for her.

do you notice that none of these vloggers actually show the DIY collar in use, why? bec most of them do not work to prevent the dog from licking or scratching the area you want to protect from.

We just did it with our golden doodle and it didn’t work at all…
@michaellamb95962 жыл бұрын
Exactly, it does NOT work…not thick enough. We tried wrapping beach towels folded up in threes and wrapped a lot of duct tape to firm it up. Think thick neck brace. It worked fairly well after some trial and error.

Rocky Kanaka maybe he can help to use this on pets not the cone, he does videos, and helping dogs, pets get adopted rescued from shelters, I see alot of the dogs end up with this ugly cones they'd benefit and feel better with this noodle collar instead.
