This is how we mounted our Generac. They make a plastic pad for them, but they’re very expensive. I’d much rather have concrete. I learned how to do it by watching other pours you did similar to this. Couldn’t have done it without you!

On a cable home show I saw someone had installed some type of fake moving creature that would spring down if the woodpecker triggered it by movement. Woodpeckers are pretty nervous by movement. Have you tried putting up any garden decorations that turn of blow in the wind, like balloons and such?

@@AStanton1966 I've tried all the stuff except that moving spider -- it has some bad reviews and the place they peck at is twenty feet high which is hard to attach things to. I hate those birds. thanks for your response.

They don't make you sleeve that gas line riser through the concrete, or at the very least wrap it in 20-mil tape? We wouldn't get away with that here in So-Cal. I always do it whether it's getting inspected or not. Just curious.
@OdellCompleteConcrete4 ай бұрын
This gas line is wrapped in epoxy, much better than tape.
@JonnyCat634 ай бұрын
@@OdellCompleteConcrete I use those exact same risers, so I'm familiar with them. Here in San Diego, SDG&E, and all the jurisdictions do not want that riser encased in concrete. If it is getting inspected down here. SDG&E requires it to be sleeved in PVC or ABS. They won't even sign off on 20-mil tape. They want movement for their pipe. The epoxy coating, while resistant to corrosion, doesn't provide the clearance that is required, by the AHJ. If you look at the main coming by the meter in in the video, you'll see the sleeve. That's what they want down here if it is in concrete. So I'm assuming it was not required where you are at, or was not inspected. Thanks for the reply.
