Would that rubber cement work on fabric material for the hair? I have a muslin doll but it seems like it would take forever with tacky or wood glue (don't even know if I should even use those)

I’m not the best at remembering fabric names, but I believe it’s called broadcloth. It’s a non-stretch cotton material.

Hi! You probably could, but to get the 3D shape of the head and its features the pattern would probably be pretty complicated. You might be able to drape and glue down fabric over a sculpted head? Or maybe even press fabric into the unbaked clay to try and get the texture of the fabric on the surface? Whatever you end up doing let me know how it goes! Best of luck!

i can't find a store that sells aluminum/tin foil near my house, do you have any recommendations that works well as a replacement for the foil?

Hi! I’m not sure what a good substitute for aluminum foil would be but here’s an article from Sculpey about what different materials can be baked in the oven with the clay: www.sculpey.com/create/blog/bakeable-mixed-media-products/ Maybe there’s a creative way to use one of those materials? It may just be worth it to wait until your store restocks their foil though. Best of luck!

Hiii!! I got the fabric from Walmart. They have precut broadcloth which comes in 2 yards. Joanns also sells broadcloth and you can have them cut a smaller piece. Half a yard should be more than enough. Thanks and best of luck!

I don’t think styrofoam would hold up in the oven. It might work if you use air dry clay instead?

This should be helpful to people who like have a sewing machine and know how to sew, but this is not helpful for people who like do not like to sew or do you not know how so if you would like to make a Coraline doll without sewing, I would recommend trying out different things

A sewing machine is definitely helpful, but if you’re not wanting to sew, or can’t sew, things like fabric glue or even hot glue can be used instead 👍 just be careful when using hot glue not to burn yourself

Like if someone wanted to make their own doll but don't have any type of clay. I have air dry clay but would be interesting to see/know how to make a coraline doll just from fabric like in the movie. Because the doll the other mother made is just fully from fabric and stuffing,no clay.
