DIY...CRANKS but NO START Buick Lacrosse...FIXED!!!!

In this video I explain my Crank but No Start issue with my 06 Buick Lacrosse 3800 Series III. It finally gave a P0335...Also I explain how to use the Harmonic Balance puller to access the Crankshaft Position Sensor.

Great video, my Lacrosse started stalling out just after starting it but only once in a while. I thought the gas was the issue till one day while driving on the highway, it just died. After getting it towed to my favorite shop, they found the same problem. I have a 2007 Buick Lacrosse that I use for work.

Thanks for sharing there's not many videos on the 2006 Buick lacrosse and the ones I have watched shut off video before doing the replacement then turn on after it is installed. Not sure what they were thinking the install is most important part. Thanks again!!!!

I have a 2009 Buick LaCrosse CXL. Garaged, don't drive it a lot, but it's been reliable. Had brakes done and four new tires installed. A couple days later, my car doesn’t start. Took to repair shop, was told the ignition control module needed to be replaced. Had the ICM replaced. Still won't start. Was told ignition coils needed to be replaced. Had this done, car still won't start. Out a lot of money, had car towed. Looking for a solution.

I have a Buick lesabre with the 3800 been having intermittent crank no start I'm suspecting this is the problem with the crank sensor.

Do you have to reset the position sensor data after install or it just works?

Is there a relearn procedure with an 06, Buick lacrosse I installed new sensors that did not work (EBAY) put my old ones back in then it started right up! I’m duped brother please help

I did not have to do a re-learn. It started up soon as I put everything back together. What issues are you having?

@@cedmac3366 prior to me installing “new” camshaft/crankshaft sensors the car would stall out. Crank no start at times if I’m on the freeway the car would not cut off but if I was on the streets or came to a stop sign the car would cut off! The auto zone brand Duralast is most current one that I have BUT THE CAR STILL CUTTING OFF. I even sprayed the electrical connectors with some CRC electrical cleaner. I’m baffled as what to do. Lastly I’m dealing with intermittent cut offs.

@@cedmac3366 additionally when I inserted those fake ass sensors from eBay the would only crank! Just cranking then I put old ones back in to troubleshoot my issues and like I said I put old ones back in they started right up! Which tells me that those sensors was no GOOD. Oh also no check engine lights at ALL. But when I went to auto to use there advanced ODB reader the results came back cranksenors issues respectfully.

@Young Deity ok...I believe you triggered the Crank/Cam position sensors when you tried to replace them. So now let's move foward to the intermittent cut-offs...First my vehicle never just cut-off intermittently. Either it started or just cranked with no start. For you I would try to unplug your Mass Air Flow and drive it around and see if it cuts-off. If not, then replace it.

Check fuel pump. You can try some starter fluid in the throttle body and If it starts then dies again, your fuel pump is bad

@@cedmac3366 hey my man it was a no start lots of crank issue on a 09 allure I used your video and ordered the proper puller I completed the job today man she started right up the cam sensor smelled like a burnt circuit board when soldering so I was assuming it was toast by your video and luckily it was I appreciate the post and the reply my man
