Thank you for sharing your technique the results look awesome. One thing I'll mention is when you're finishing your knife scales I've been having excellent results using Steel wool. Once I get to 400 grit I generally transition over to steal will work my way from.0 to 0000 and then hit the buffing wheel with white rouge. The nice thing about the steel wall is that it conforms to the shape of your handle easily, doesn't seem to wear out as fast because it's a three-dimensional abrasive. Finally once you get to 0000 steel wool it will actually leave a near mirror finish on your pins.

I was curious how that resin you used (Total Boat, I think?) holds up - if you accidentally dropped the knife would it shatter or does it stay solid. and I don't mean to actually drop a knife made with the handles... don't want you to do that. LMAO JUst curious if you did any trials with how the resin pieces hold up with this particular make of resin. : )

I’m a handle maker. I’ve been doing decorative wood designs and have started to experiment with epoxy. This effect is one I want badly but cannot get to work. The plastic wrap bonds to the epoxy each time I try. I use the same epoxy and have tried removing the wrap at 3, 24, and 48 hours. It always sticks though. I’m using costco brand wrap. Any advice would be genuinely appreciated.
