OH WOW!! I'm so proud for you Beth, you are such an inspiration. I love your spirit. I wanted to do the tiny house thing too. We got an RV and worked on it to make it our tiny home. Very Nice!!! Funny Story With Glass...I Was Microwaving Some Water In A Glass Coffee Cup One Day, But Had Let It Sit Inside The Microwave For A Bit...And Reheated It Again. Well, When I Took The Hot Water Out The Microwave, I Had Transferred The Hot Water Into A Travel Mug And Proceeded To Heat Another Cup Of Water. So, When I Poured That Water Into That Hot, Glass Coffee Cup...It Cracked Right In Half!!! Talk About Cutting Glass...Two Perfect Halves...Using The Hot/Cold Method. TeeHeehee... Aw this makes me feel so so good ;) So you have your first hot knife and now you're getting a glass cutter, this is just too awesome and make me happy. On the cutter this one has six wheels with it so if one gets dull it's like having five back ups on hand. Not all are like that so I just wanna make sure you know. Hey sweet lady, you could use battery powered lights if you wanted & just glue the lampshade part to one of those glass candle holder sticks. I know what you mean! This was my first time to try this but ... honey I promise promise it's super easy!!! I'm a clumsy one too which is why I always stayed away from "willingly" cutting glass hehe. If you change your mind these cutters are at Lowe's for $5 tax & all. If not it'll be just as purdy ;) xoxo

Thank You Cindy, you could go with a glass candle stick holder and "epoxy" glue a plastic bowl / dipping cup to it & run it through the center of the candle holder so you'll have a place for your cord. I'll tall ya straight up this sits up great and absolutely no problems at all with balancing. I'd say so if it did but of course go with what you're most comfortable with and what you like. I just want you to know this build has zero issues with holding up & if you like this design you won'y be disappointed. 😘
