Learn how to make your own cupped corset style top!
This style top is not a true 'corset' you will not get any waist reduction from this style, nor will you get any tight lacing effects!
I have left out the closures in the back for multiple reasons: there are multiple ways to close this garment, from hooks and eyes to a zipper to gromments. It is whatever you feel the most comfortable with putting in, as i have done many different style closures on this bodice back!
You can also attach this to a skirt instead of binding it up, it makes an excellent bodice for dresses!
If your rigeline boning is still bent and curled, I suggest pressing them with a warm iron until they straighten out. They are plastic though! So be careful you do not melt them. You can use steel or plastic for boning as well, since this is not a true corset.
The Pattern can be found here (PLEASE NOTE THE PATTERN IS ONLY SIZES 30A-40DD i am working with another pattern maker for sizes up to 52G and that will be a separate video. )
Pattern: orange-lingeri...
*i am not affliated with the pattern maker nor do i make any more by sharing her pattern**
Tips from the pattern maker's blog on modifications of your own: orange-lingeri...
Materials:
Corset mesh: stitchlovestud...
Padded Cups: stitchlovestud...
**I am not affliated with Stitch Love Studios, I only love her supplies and love to support her**
As always, check out my other social media channels to see what I'm making and let me know in the comments what you want to see next!

This is really helpful! I’m just curious on how you would do the back of the corset, if you lace it or just sew it together at the back?

I actually used snaps, since it ended up being a bit larger than the mannequin! But normally I would install grommets about 1 inch apart (I usually end up with 5/6 grommets on each side!)

Thank you for this tutorial! I'm making my own wedding dress and plan to do the top just like this! Do you (or anyone else!) know of any bustier patterns like this one that are cheaper or free? I don't have a mannequin, so I can't draft my own and spending $18 on a pattern is not affordable for me.

One of my siblings is getting married in June. The dress I was going to order was going to come with a slip and the designer makes bras and busiters which I was going to purchase. Unfortunately they are in the Ukrainian and now I am S.O.L thanks to President Putin who has now scorned me. On purchasing my dress for this wedding I now am having to restart my hunt again. I did mange to find a dress 3 hours away from my house in state that I am going to call and see if I can try on or if any wedding shops carry in my area. But no luck with the bustier I will need for the new dress. So I hope you don’t mind but I am going to use this video as a reference to make my bustier. Do you have a pattern for sale?

I know this was from like a year and a half ago, BUT is there ANY word on that patter for up to 52G that you mentioned? If ANYONE has any recs for extended size bustier tops/bras similar to the pattern she used, especially for size 38J or bigger (sister sizes always welcome), I would GREATLY appreciate it! I love these bustier styles and they seem like much better support for big boobs, BUT it’s practically impossible for me to find any in my size, OR any to try on to adjust said size without doing a back and forth buy and return, so I’d LOVE to just be able to make it!

This is not a corset in the slightest. There is no shaping to the waist or the bust. It just holds the bosoms in place like a modern day bra. A corset is an undergarment and give shape and support to the back, bust, and hips. Call this what it is, a boned bodice or bustier. Thank you. With that being said this is a nice garment and was made well.
