In the early 1980's I share farmed six (6) thousand acres of broad acre sunflower and serial grains ( sorghum, wheat, and chick pea,). We had an old Bedford truck and a 1000 gallon tank and a petrol pump to access the machines in the paddock. Our 15 years old lad's job was to fill the supply tank on the truck and fuel the tractors and harvester etc. The Briggs & Stratton always started first pull. The motor started and a spark from the exhaust ignited the petrol and the lad fleed to the extinguisher and too late to stop the fire 🔥 so he went to the main stop-tap, on the mother tank, getting a few burns to his arms. We opted for the 12 volt motor pump. A little excitement on the farm.

My dad had a big tank in the back of his pickup. But he had tractors and combines to fill. He grew wheat, corn, etc., raised cattle, and helped feed America and really enjoyed it.

I saw where a person had some bad transfers as they came in from vendor and the way to make use of them you scratch the face of the transfer and retain the scrapings and spread them under the transfer and you get a cool distressed looking shirt.

So happy the Merchandise is going so well. You were smart enough to know that it's only legal to haul that much Diesel. Doug in Doug and Stacy didn't check into laws. He bought a 100 gallon tank and found out could only transport 50 - 55 gallons. Great setup. You just made your life so much easier. You are a very Handyman to have around lol. God Bless and Peace Be With You All

Maybe you could build a platform on top of the dolly to give you more surface to set your drum on. A piece of 3/4 inch plywood would probably work. It was so nice to see that Freedom is bonding with you and is eating out of your hand. I guess sitting on the feed bucket has really brought the animals to you.

If you have any kind of air compressor, you can make a transfer tank easy , use a regular water hose hydrant , solder in copper tube to reach the bottom put in small bung , drill big bung plug for a valve stem , use air pressure to move liquids, how I used a hand pump , for moving water and such , when I lived off grid on a ranch .
@dantheman73444 жыл бұрын
Suggestion. The spot you rolled the tank into, make that it's new home. Don't even try to put it up on shelf. With Forks you can pick it up and put it in back of truck. Then head in and fill it up. Come back out to farm, unload and keep it on dolly. just a suggestion. Love the videos.

Daniel, if you watch for auctions of grocery stores going out of business you may find a large cooler in great shape for a reasonable price. When my husband Frank was deer hunting on a farm in Bland Va, I bid on a cooler 12 x18 ft and got it for $400. It was set up and running so we were able to see it working. A new compressor to change it from 3 phase to 110 ( if I rem correctly) was $1200 but they used it for many years until Frank developed Alzheimer’s and had to quit hunting. We were supposed to go to retrieve it after the farmer died (@ 93 but by then Frank was not able to do so. So handy because with the kill permits, the farmer never had to have another of his breves butchered as they ate the venison that Frank killed each year. He was a terrific hunter and loved sharing his kills with the farmer and his wife who became loved family members. Anyway, the grocery stores most likely to shut down here are Food Lion stores altho our cooler came from a Deskins grocery. Wish we could have know some time ago because you would have been welcome to ours but you’d have to come for it or send someone for it. It was just four by eight sections held together by clips so was quite easy to move, a panel at a time. One auction goer told us that the door alone was probably worth around $20,000. Never checked it out as it didn’t matter. Anyway, the reason for this long message is just to suggest that you check out some grocery store or quick stop stores for a cooler at a good price. Take care, love your videos and your kids esp Emmalea.

My husband just built a workbench out of a laminated beam that weighs about 400 lbs, & he bought 4 casters that swivel & have lockdown brakes. All his saws are on the bench, & he rolls it outside the garage when he needs to. Each caster cost under $20 & have a weight capacity of 450 lbs each - rubber wheels - very quiet. Seems like that would be more stable than the dolly.

Need the filter straight up and down. So contaminants stay at the bottom of the filter. Old diesel mechanic telling you
@markdonahoo29124 жыл бұрын
You should of left the 4x4's longer about 1 foot on each end, then put the dolly sideways. The dolly lifts the frame high enough to slide forks underneath the 4x4's, but skill saw an inch off the bottom in sections for forks to slide into (this will keep the heavy load from sliding left/right when carrying with the forks to and fro. Best to have a wider balanced fork load. When the box is full you will have a heavy cube of fuel and hard to balance on tight forks. How are you getting in and out of the truck bed to go fill it (forks), so make sure you don't drop it with a tight fork lift. Why didn't you just cut 6" on the pipe? It extends. So cut 6", cut the suction holes, extend the pipe, then place in box. It will collapse as you push down, and will be at the bottom, and not bottom out. Thanks for all your great video's and including us in your life.

You could use some 1x1s along side the dolly to 'anchor' the dolly under the tank. Then, do the same on 2 sides on top of the base, securing the tank within it's parameters. Just a though, so when it has to go over some gravel, the dolly won't slide out from under the tank.

It was funny when Bear chased the goats 🐐 out of the feed pan he decided to chow out of.
