Thank you for the video! I would have never thought to use a planer punch to bind a coloring book!

I would recommend the ARC punch for a more sturdy hole punch if you want to do multiple pages at once. Also buy happy planner disc (I like smaller size) as they are smoother and work better for me than Amazon ones. Brave of you to film this. I also take my books to a local printer and they have a machine that cuts the spine off in one chop! And it was super cheep.

You can also take a hair dryer to the glued bound part of the coloring books to make it easier to take the spines of these coloring books apart. It is easier and much more safe than using an X-acto knife to cut the glued bound coloring books from its spine.

Great video. I have the big happy planner punch where it does all three sizes. And I know the lady in the video you mentioned that she wasn't thrilled with the HP punch but I love my happy planner punch and cannot afford to spend the money on the ark punch. I was gifted this punch and I'm just been very careful with all my coloring books I love the fact that if I don't like a certain page in a coloring book I don't have to color it I can just simply save it for a friend and let them color it.

I've seen both J I Colorist's boos and My Colourful Country Life, both with their books bound like that. Now that my husband has banned me from buying books that we know fall apart, maybe I can change his mind? Thanks for the clear and simple demo.

I think your husband should definitely reconsider, because some of the best books are glue bound! After my initial fear of messing it up, it really came together pretty quickly! FYI I got my punch on sale at JoAnn & then used the 25 percent off Friends & Family promo they have going on, so a super good deal! The discs are cheaper on Amazon, BTW. Keep me posted!

Wow very cool Jeanie and brave of you !!! Bravo !!! Great solution to the glue bound problem ! I remember seeing Jodis videos a while ago and thinking , gosh that is so interesting !!
