Holly! You are pure joy and your energy is great. I enjoyed this and so happy it popped up as a video I might like 😊. I’m new NEW new to sewing 😅, I want to make my girl a collar and possibly sell them to help with the cost of her frequent doctor visits because of her seizure disorder. Butterscotch Lorraine is a 9 year old Shorkie with a seizure disorder that was diagnosed 7 years ago. She is very much full of energy, she’s a people magnet, she is in love with ALLLLLL of her toys, she loves going on trips in the car, I’m a veteran and she has been my ROCK since coming home from Afghanistan and in retirement. It’s just me and Butterscotch against the world 😊. Thank you for the tutorial❤ Ohhh and I attached a split key ring to my store bought leash and it holds my keys and poo bags👍🏾

I love this tutorial, much more simple than some others i have tried to wrap my head around. If I could make one suggestion it'd be to add a D ring up at the leash handle for clipping your poop bag pouch to, I just personally find it handy to keep mine there and never forget them.

I love that fabric! I have been making dog collars for years and donated the money to my favorite rescue at that time. I don’t get very many orders anymore (collars of hope creations), and I have all this fabric, so I want to make collars for the current rescue where I volunteer. I always used the iron on sturdy interfacing for giving body to the collars. But I think I want to try your way of doing it. I also have the nylon webbing to use. I probably have to look for new places to buy buckles etc as things are going up in price. BTW I am a huge dog lover and must have one in my home at all times. The one I have now is a rescue from where I volunteer. It’s just me and my dog!

I loved your comment. You gave me an idea- my dog has had a seizure disorder for 7 years now. The cost to care for her at times has been overwhelming, as it’s just me and her. I could make and sell these and open up a Butterscotch account with hopes to donate to local shelters or other pet parents who are having a difficult time caring for their pets. 😊

I should have taken a picture of the gazillion bowl cozies I made from your other tutorial. It was Christmas and I just didn't have time for picture taking. Also, that is hilarious that the coyote has a doodoo schedule 🤣 Boy, coyote howling just almost makes my heart hurt from the sad sound. There are coyotes by our quilt retreat and they are so mournful. Also I vote for the teal thread with the tan as my second choice.
@DandelionStitches2 жыл бұрын
Love your cool new name! Good thinking! The coyote howling does sound mournful and sad. Drives Dandelion nuts. (like she needs another reason). When they come into our yard as a pack they run around and play like puppies. They chase each other and yip and bark. It's a joy to watch. Our neighbors are terrified of them, but I just love when they come by.

These are the measurements I use to cut the webbing for other dog sizes: xsmall - 14.5", small - 22.5", medium - 26.5", large - 32". I recommend measuring your dogs neck and adjusting as need be. Remember the fold over for size adjustments takes up a lot of webbing. Hope this is helpful!

Is there a reason why the webbing is exposed and not side the leash itself? Does it make it more durable?
@DandelionStitches2 жыл бұрын
I think it depends on the dog. For our dog, I like to keep the webbing against her neck to keep the fabric side from wearing out. She is big and active and we take a lot of on the leash walks. If you have a smaller, or less active dog, fabric completely covering the webbing would probably work just as well. I like the leash to be completely covered just because it looks prettier. 😄
