👋perfect! I'm heading to Alabama first week of April to help my friend after the tornado ripped through their property. They have two adult Great Danes that have been sequestered in their downstairs basement. Her husband is very ill and is unable to walk so I'm going to do what needs to be done to help a little. I plan to build a dog run exactly like this so the dogs have access to the outdoors and some grass and yet safe. I'm also going to look for some heavy gauge garden blanket material to post up from the roofline down to the fence to provide shade from the heat. Your video could not have shown up to me at a better time. thanks for showing it😊

Hi this is really helpful! What if you’re trying to fence in an area of your yard that you isn’t near grass so you can’t put those stabilizer poles in? The part we are trying to extend is from the house door to edge of garage where fenced in area starts, and that area is all concrete driveway. Thanks!

I would say probably not big dogs like that. They could jump over it pretty easy I would think. My dog was old and had no motivation to pursue jumping or digging. The fence has held up and we use it for all my family’s and friends dogs. My dog was also an inside dog and we used the fenced area for bathroom breaks and time for him to just go outside for a bit. Good luck with you project and to make it work for you. Thanks for watching!

What keeps your dog from digging under the fence where the grass is at ? Lucky for you, you have a smaller dog. My dog would be jumping over the fence in no time. I am building a fence made out of concrete block on footers. With metal fence sections made of 1" x 1" aluminum or steel. It is only way to keeping my dog in my yard. Until I get it built, he is tied with dual chains to a large oak tree that isn't going anywhere. Good video though.

The fence is over the patio. The concrete keeps him from digging out.

These were given to me from someone else that wasn't using them. So it didn't cost me anything. I would estimate around $300 for 50ft of it.
@A10TOES4 жыл бұрын
Gabe, depends on where you live; depends on whether you use pine or cedar. Even treated wood doesn’t last like it used too so I’m going with 12’ cedar boards cut down since mine will be permanent, right now cedar boards are on sale for $17.00 each. I only need to replace 50 ft so it won’t cost too much. Better than paying $2-3000.00 which is wha I was quoted by 2 different ppl.

Ah yeah this won't work in my yard. This might be no dig for you, but it wouldn't be for me. I can't pound any kind of stake into the ground more than three or four inches before I hit rock. Doesn't matter where or how deep i dig in my 1.5 acre yard, it's all freaking rock. I hate it. I spent 30 grand on a fence last year after buying this house and moving cross country. Then my dumb ass got a german sheperd puppy. Neediest freaking animal ever. When i don't play with him or walk him, he destroys everything in the yard. He's tore siding off my house. He tore out an electrical box that sits out in the yard. He pulls out my blackberry and raspberry plants. He tears out my mini fences around my garden beds and air conditioner. He spulls out my onions and eats my sunflowers. Now I want to fence off a smaller part of the yard for him so he can't get to all my important stuff.
