Just got done making these for thanksgiving. I appreciate all of the insights! Here are my own personal, non-professional take-aways, for those of us that do not have your amazing gifts. I made three of these with 10 frames each (I have big tables so I needed them longer). Painting two coats took all evening and I had to wait for them to dry overnight. Then of course the sanding took another 30 minutes the next day. Then the glueing. I used the gorilla glue hot glue and it’s holding well. I also painted the inner part of the frames after I glued them together in case little tidbits showed. With so many frames I had to use the first method of cutting out the bottom for security reasons and they look okay. I’m using candlesticks for more dramatic effect. Overall I greatly appreciate this design. Mainly for being able to see into the planter. I’m thinking of adding some lights inside. My biggest “gripe” is my own fault, with all of how supplies needed for 3 sets I’m at about $100. So I suppose if you’re only making one then that’s not too shabby and the frame for this can be used for Christmas too. TFS - another channel (Clutterbug?) had a centerpiece box made of MDF by her husband, but recommended three Kleenex boxes as a substitute - yours is another wonderful alternative and I even think building a box entirely from DT foamboard would work, as well. Your project turned out beautifully. PS I wonder if using heavy duty staples to reenforce the attachment between the frames would work well???

Thank you! Yea I saw That box on the clutterbug channel! I thought the tissue box idea was a great alternative! I also thought building a box out of the foam board would be a good idea just have to make your cuts straight and I’m not great at that lol That is also a great idea about the staples I think that might help to secure the frames together along with the glue! Thanks for your reply. I have to use a metal yardstick (or some kind of guide) to get straight cuts - I also adore my paper cutter for decorating my planner - it saves so much time - and when I was making mesh wreaths I got one of those self-healing mats and a rotary cutter which saved a lot of time spent cutting mesh.
