I made this. The hot glue will come off, the E6000 will work better on glass. You gave me many new ideas for building different types. Thanks
@LifeDIYJosie6 жыл бұрын
hi Althea...yep it is always better to use E6000 or any stronger bond glue than hot glue...however, this set-up has lasted for me. So far, it has not come off. I am sure it is just a matter of time. Thanks for watching and always commenting. Hugs ~ Josie :)

I followed your idea, only adding a 2nd small bowl, not glued down. I put crushed ice in it just in case I burn my fingers I can stick my finger right in the ice! I love the color you used. I used a similar color in the bling/diamond ribbon & it’s beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing your original idea! It’s been such a great help, saved my craft table & my fingers too! {{{ HUGGZ }}} ~Su

Good idea. Great crafting minds think alike. For years I have used a glass cutting board for my glue guns, both large and small. I also use the silicone mats, as those are used for baking and holding hot pots, so it's very easy clean up as well. They also come in great colors. I use the glass boards for my hair tools (flat irons, etc) in my bathroom to save countertops, as well as crafting. KZbin suggested your channel as I craft often and subscribe to fellow crafters. Great job!

New subscriber after watching this video. What a great, and I mean this as a compliment, simple solution/idea for a homemade glue gun stand. What's even better is that I have all of the items on hand 🤗 Here's a tip for those using the E6000, after applying the glue place a few random dabs of hot glue on top of the e6000 before placing the item on the surface. The hot glue will adhere it instantly while the e6000 dries over night. Great for when you have to move a project elsewhere to dry and or when Gravity is not your friend while working on something. Now I will binge watch you other videos 😉

Hi Karen, thanks! Good reminder for everyone. When heat is applied to dried glue from glue gun, the glue will melt and may cause the set up to come apart. That is why it is preferable to use E6000, Super Glue, Gorilla Glue, or any long-lasting adhesive/epoxy. I've also added the information again in the description box. have a great day! TFW, hugs ~ Josie :)

I just Love It! If you want to add some color to it, the tea light candle holder comes in turquoise and other colors also.
@LifeDIYJosie7 жыл бұрын
Yes Wilmarys, the tealight also comes in turquoise!. I was looking for it, but my DT only has the clear ones, so I just added the tapes to add a bit of color to the set up. Thanks for watching. Hugs ~ Josie :)

Hi Karen, I don't mind you trying this at all. I made this to help others who may have the same dilemma as I! I often burn or leave glue everywhere. Now, I work neater and better with the stand. Glad you find this helpful enough to remake. I am so happy to be of help! TFW, hugs ~ Josie :)
