It looks really nice. You did a good job, and my Daddy taught me a lot of old-school ways of doing things Something that if you are going to put something like monkey grass on the edge and it's not going to show you can use motor oil burnt motor oil or regular for your form and it pops off easy. Also you can tint your concrete. I have to do mine you are very good at what you do I am so happy I found your channel thank you😊 You can also make your own French drain if you don't want any mulch getting on it and you can cut the mulch bags in an X and use the plastic down on the ground to keep grass from growing however this may be a bug problem so you can always spray for bugs but anyway you did a great job I got to go now I got to get busy thank you again.😊

Great job, it looks incredible. We are considering this on a walkway in our backyard. The walkway we have in now is covered in weeds and has seen much better days. Do you have any additional pointers you may have thought up since the time has passed since you did this? Also how has it held up for you over the past few weeks?

Just wondering, since you didn't sponge wipe those stones to keep the natural colors of the stone, have you considered using a stiff brush attachment on a polisher to go across those stones to bring out the natural colors? If you try this, post a video so we can see how it looks.

A couple things I noted (and I am NOT a concrete guy either.. just a DIYish type doing as I can!) Are pavers colored different from the concrete? It may be how I am seeing it from the video but they blend in with the concrete... Just a personal thing with paver choice. And the one safety thing I did note is that the end of the walkway, where it butts up against the other sidewalk, appears to be a bit lower. Again, curious if that is the case or if it just appeared like that in the video (shading or something). I am trying to finish one main sidewalk and have a second one to do but I am using bricks in a weave type pattern with square edging bricks... Lost my job at the end of October so it is currently a less than safe sidewa... (unfinished sidewalk... my dad humor is showing...)

The pavers are slightly darker than the concrete with some brown tones, but you are right it's not a huge difference. I already had the pavers so I used what I had. Yes the walkway is about 1.5" lower than the other sidewalk. I just made the walkway roughly the hight of the existing pavers...I could have raised it to the same hight but that would have required alot of underlayment like gravel or alot more concrete. @@PatriotDIY No doubt. And I totally get using supplies on hand to keep the costs down. Not trying to be an armchair quarterback (but always seems to come out that way!) Knowing how I am I would have spent money I didn't have to do something that may or may not have worked. So it goes. Good on you for getting it done... Did I mention mine is still a work in progress!!??!?

Question, I am thinking about redoing my patio, there are a number of beautiful rust colored flagstone pavers I would like to preserve the color. How can I keep the concrete color off my colored pavers?

You'd just have to be more careful about pouring the concrete between them and once the concrete stars to cure a little, go back with a sponge and clean of each stone before it sets completely

@@PatriotDIY One more question, if I may, I have approximately 75 percent flagstone covering the patio with concrete meandering around the flagstone. Would I remove the flagstone, level dirt below, place flagstone on dirt, then fill in the dry concrete within the framing and flagstone , then mistt as per your video? Thanks
