I tried the vinegar and the aluminum foil but that didn't work so I'll try this next! I have a daughter with that dam CA and lots of grandchildren so this sounds better than poison dryer sheets! I make my own detergent now too!

Please may i ask why you diluted the softner with water?

when you put the softener in the washing machine it gets diluted with water. When you are making your own dryer sheet you also want to do that so it's not so concentrated and will come out of the spray bottle. hopefully that was helpful!

Can you just spray it on the clothes in the dryer instead of the rag ???

I wouldn't because it will probably stain your clothes like it does the rag. You don't want to put detergent/softener directly on your clothes
