quick question! Managed to sew my first doll skirt a few days ago thanks to your tutorial, I'm trying to sew another and I have one single doubt. In which direction must I cut the fabric?

Fabric must be cut on the grain, but doll clothes are small, then it's not that importnt, but if you have some print in there then the print must be right sides up. I hope you understand what I mean.

Can you share how to get the measurements? Every doll isn't the same. This would be a lot of help to know how to get the measurements for the fabric and elastic.

That's what screwed me up with this tutorial the doll I have has button joints on the leg and it was too small. For the measurements I'd recommend using a tape measure around the waist where it's widest so you can have the extra room. The other was the length desired for the skirt so however long you'd like it just be sure to add room for the waist and bottom hems.

Use tape measurements around the waist and multiply twice. Then you put the elastic thrue and this will gather the fabric. The elastic needs to be the length that goes over the hips.

Hi, First skirt: cut rectangle of 17 cm long and 35 cm wide ( seam allowance is included) Second skirt: cut two rectangles 12 cm long and 35 cm wide or 12 cm long and 70 cm wide, then you have one sideseam (I made two sideseams) I will upload today or tomorrow new video of sewing doll pants, it comes with free pattern 😉
