Things I'm liking about this: easy to make, cost efficient, easy set up and store, and at a lower angle it's like a cucumber hammock, for a short person like myself the less reaching I have to do the better! I grow tons of picklers and get tired of having to restring the hand woven trellis every year.

Shelley: you have the advantage of two skills now - handmade trellising and this method - or equivalent. Prices of everything food/gardening related will go through the rood, 2022, 2023, 2024, etc. so you are ahead of the curve. Twine is cheap. I restrung 5 big trellises (first time ever ) for sugar pie pumpkins but my seeds did not grow. I tried a different method with 8 more seeds - on a wet papertowel in a bowl covered with plastic wrap, sitting on a floor behind blinds. 3 have germinated in the bowl; now to figure out the rest ....

Hi Erv, thanks for the good ideas. Im just looking to get a roll of road barrier for not much. It comes in 100 metres long rolls.

We had that issue the last part of the season also, with the chewing. Trying to get smarter about it and stay a step ahead this season. Lol!
