What brought me to this channel? Your room addition video, when you added a bedroom. I was considering buying a too-small house with DIY plans for expansion so I was browsing videos of those who did it. We have since bought the house, love doing DIY projects (haven’t tackled an addition yet) and still enjoy your videos!

Love your videos! Shilo look good with the new hair cut. Also, sorry about the bad weather in CA. The weather across the country has been out of control. Some places getting extreme snow others rain.

Whoa..backup here. Check your color grading…video looks so dull..barely any life at all. Colors are all dim… tones are dull and lacking in life..ie color. Now..I admitt my choice as a former news video journalist with CBS Morning news doing feature stories…etc. I always took stronger control of the colors, tried to add more life etc. Are you toning yours down on purpose. I’m viewing yours on my IPad. Now.. when I found myself doing On The Road videos I had to go heavy-handed. Seems video from 3/4” tape then early beta really bummed me out.

lol, yeah this vid was definitely dull. a bit under exposed, and lacking contrast and saturation. Premier pro's export settings are partially to blame.. I usually run a compensation lut over my project during export. oops! I'll try again next week. 😉

Thanks.. color..look, saturation and individual look became a core for me. I worked with a group of big shots on the network level who argued over everything. My feeling was if my correspondent and I liked it..that worked. Ut then often I found filming in different locations directed me toward different tones. N my own I relied on myself. Those were days of Sony Beta cameras then DSLR..etc. but loved regular video cameras were my jam. Still..it’s up to each individual. Funny but by being a second crew director on many feature length films shot in NC, then Oregon and also The last picture show I went rogue. For Peter Bogdonavich I relied on my film school training in B&W with 14 mm lens n B&W. Really brought out the artist in me. I only shot Cloris Leachman…we sought her look..efined it day by day. Loved that like crazy. Now then I did two Children of the Corn films.. used my old Bolex H-16 reflex..loved it still. Used creative color grading based of other work done on a film I did on kids caught in devil stuff. No more..too real and crazy. All I know is I wager you’re headed toward founding your own studio..and films. With the kids as crew..etc.

Oh vey.. gosh but we videographers can nit pick.. I found that only truer at CBS.. I usually tended to go overboard on the Artsy End.. only thing is I ignored learning in-depth..like lust etc. one guy carried it to extreme. Oooh..just saw your lines drawn in ! Well done.
