Sealant is under plastic frame of window, not arround window. Thats how I do.

Hey! We did butyl tape under the fan in our van, didn’t feel the need to do it on the truck as the lap sealant thoroughly covered everything up :) been a year with the fan installed this way on the truck, no leaks!
