Kelsey,there is a horzintal support should you put in the bottom of the ladder to stop laterall movement. For you safty.

You are absolutely correct, how a coat of paint can change everything. The white on white looks so fresh and it renews the house from looking so dull. Have you thought about painting the screen frames black? I think that would be a wonderful contrast to the white on white look and match the black painted window frames inside but without painting the window frames.

I have some rotten wood fascia as well and have gotten quotes on getting vinyl soffit but I just can’t afford that so I’m glad I came across this. You gave me confidence I can get it done myself. We did this on our previous house in more of a creamy white with cedar shutters. Absolutely loved it! I plan on doing it again with this exact color. We have just one gutter above the garage and I’m thinking of paining it black and the r rest of the trim white.

Cedar shutters sound beautiful with the white. I definitely want to add some wood tones to warm everything up!

That’s the dream! But the grids are in between the window panes so I can’t paint them! 😩😩

You should try Scott’s Super 88 Electrical tape for the exterior grids, you can use it inside as well and it holds up to the heat and Sun outside. Or you can paint wood trim and attach with Velcro strips. I’ve seen this done and used the electrical tape on our windows since our grids are inside the window panes too. And I’d love to see you do a video on it! 💕 Your videos are my favorite!

For those who don't know this, you need to let pressure treated wood dry before you paint it. The drying time depends of where you live, but atleast a few months.
