One thing to note, the stock plastic louvres are oriented to deflect debris flinging off the tires at a downward angle. I've run the mesh for a couple months and can see where very small rocks have peppered the fins. The mesh holes are small enough to only allow small stones/sand through but over time this may add up - was enough to get my attention and make a note to keep an eye on it. It's a small sacrifice to prevent rubbing but like many mods we do there can be compromises. Thanks for sharing!

That’s a good point. I didn’t think of that. Now that you say that, I am glad I didn’t cut all the fins off. At least the surface area for stone going through the mesh is reduced. Thanks for watching and the pointer. 🙌😃💪

I stopped tire rub with one easy hack. Not lowering.

Ah shucks… why didn’t I think of that 🤔😂

Why do you run spacers with your custom Edelweiss wheels? Why not get the correct offset from the beginning ?
@thedevthing17 күн бұрын
I am just experimenting to see how much more aggressive I can push the wheels out. I can run it without the spacers too. 🙌😃

@thedevthing Can you share your wheel specs (with offset) and the spacer size? I love your fitment and stance and I'd want to replicate it. Front and rear wheels? And any spacers on the rear?

Great video. Have you had issues with not having a front license plate being in Ontario?
@thedevthing8 күн бұрын
Thank you for watching. I do have a front plate mount where I quickly install the front place when I take it for a drive through the city and downtown areas. 🙌😃

Sorry if this has already been covered in another one of your videos, but did you opt for PPF across the whole car? She looks so clean still even a year on! I have my LCI coming in March and I'm weighing up having just the bumper PPF'd and then ceramic coating the rest for easier cleaning. Any tips or guidance would be greatly appreciated as it's my first M car! It's in a non metalic paint like yours, so I'm hoping the maintenance of the paint will be eaiser than metalic / frozen! Thanks Prabhul! Always a pleasure to watch your videos, they are so well filmed and put together! 😊

I appreciate you watching my videos. 🙏🙌😃 I didn’t do PPF all over the car. I only did the front bumper. If i was to do it all over again, I would do the hood and fenders too. And the rest of the car has been ceramic coated. It helps clean the car easily. During a wash the dirt just glides off.

@@thedevthing That's really helpful, thanks so much for the reply! :)

Don’t lower the car enough to cause rub. Easy solution.

Yeah that’s an option too. I prioritized an aggressive stance, so this is the price I pay. 😂😃

Thanks for this video. I was just considering buying these. Question: would it be easier to install using rivets with a backing washer to stop the rivet pulling through the plastic?

For the mesh you mean?

_Really love your OEM+ mods, Prabhul. I'm planning to mount BBS or Edelweiss wheels on wifey's G87, but still looking for the right lowering kits. Any suggestions?_
@thedevthing16 күн бұрын
Thank you, I appreciate that. For wheels. I am not a big fan of multipiece wheels. They are a pain yo keep clean. But this is personal preference. For lowering kit, KW lowering kit would be just right for you guys.
