Hey Justin! Just be careful of coil bind with the front spacers. That’s one seen struts snapped because of the coil binding before the suspension hits the stops.

Thanks man! I didn't know that 😂🤣🙈 I'm learning as I go here. I am looking at changing out my struts and coils later on. Just need to be careful for now I guess, need to try not bottom it out before the bump stops 🙈

hello, I have the same lift kit installed, but when I'm crossing a bump in the road the front suspension have a clunk noise like a hit, do you have this problem? When I'm doing off road I have the same problem crossing rocks, the front suspension get fully extended and hit with something. Could be the CV axle have bad angle and it is hiting.
@DiffLockWarrior
@DiffLockWarrior 4 жыл бұрын
It sounds like your suspension is being hit a bit hard when the front comes back down. I would suggest moving the Bump stops to a better location. I have learnt to drive a bit more cautiously when going over obstacles where the front wheels would take an impact etc. Also make sure you go have your camber adjusted to ensure your wheels are straight.

hi i like to make a 2 inch lift kit with spacers like you on isuzu dmax ... rear shock i need to change it or i leave the factory shock ?
@DiffLockWarrior
@DiffLockWarrior 4 жыл бұрын
You can leave the factory shock on a 2"lift, I would recommend replacing to a longer shock when you have a chance. If I could afford to, I would change to after market shocks like Old Man Emu instead of the spacers.

lol affordability at this stage, I am a sales rep by day carting equipment, so not worth the money to buy a 4x4 that will do high mileage. Hopefully I can look at getting a 4x4 in 2021

How are those comfort shackles working two months on mate? What's it like at full articulation? There is very few to no off-road reviews on these shackles Looking at them on my ute, tossing up between them and greaseable shackles. My end goal is 2 inch shackles 2inch leaves and prop shaft extension and 4inch shocks, for the rear of my Isuzu to match the 3 inches I have on the front.

Man I am so sorry I only saw the comment now. They have been doing really well actually. I did mess up when re-fitting the original bushings, so that will need to be replaced at some stage, but for now, I have zero issues. As thought, when at full flex, the shock runs out of legs before the shackle can be completely extended. I haven't had any excess body roll issues like other people speak about, so thats a plus side. These were supposed to have grease nipples on, but once it arrived we noticed. Honestly, they are soo easy to take off I'd just prob them up and re-grease if needed. So far I've never had to grease any of my previous vehicles. But I want to change that habit and start maybe greasing these every 15k km going forward. It's going in for its 60k service next week, so will clean them up when I get it back.

@@DiffLockWarrior Thanksheaps for the reply. yes I am looking into longer shock for my project. Some have spoken of drive shaft falling out or tail shaft damage in the earlier models, I'll be using a 35mm drive shaft extension but I'm going 4 inches of lift in the rear in total. Have you jacked the ute from the chassis at the rear and suspended both wheels and once secured checked if the drive shaft is still a safe amount in the tail shaft? I'm guessing you should be safe with just the two inches.
@DiffLockWarrior
@DiffLockWarrior 4 жыл бұрын
@@hadrianhaine5204 wow 4inch is a big lift for the rear. I spoke with my mechanics and they said for my van generally 2inch is still in the "safe" zone, anything bigger then I would have looked at spacers to drop and re-align the propshaft. I hooked up the go-pro to my recovery point to see how they move around, and noticed it does give a bit side play shuffle when one wheel is off the ground, so if I get into a flex spot like that I just go slooow incase I hear a "ting" 😂 I rate the way you want to go with extended the prop etc is the right way. Would be nice to see the finished product 👍🏻👌🏻

Hello, when placing the lift kit did the front suspension get harder? with that kit can you do offroad?
@DiffLockWarrior
@DiffLockWarrior 4 жыл бұрын
It definitely did make the front suspension harder. I can still go off road with the kit, but in the long term I would like to eventually replace the spacers and shackles with longer shocks rather.

Have you tried 285 75 16?
@DiffLockWarrior
@DiffLockWarrior 4 жыл бұрын
that would be a bit too large and heavy in my opinion for the 2.5 4x2. I already suffered a noticeable power loss after fitting the 265/75/16 that I currently have on.

adding these will wear the suspension parts? Any risk? please explain
@cymans1164
@cymans1164 3 жыл бұрын
Yes about 50% off the life line of the front upper control arm bushings and if it is a 4x4 the cv boots too and if you using a spacers and you dont move the bump stops your risking shocks and coil spring binding up and you realy need ang wheel alingment after putting this lift because the tire wear will increase and it is very unstable during high speed and in cornering
