Do I need to buy a helping hand/third hand tool to hold the pcb board? And can I just do this with no gloves on any floor/surface? Thanks

You don't need helping hands but it is way easier with them, try soldering on a table or on the floor and make sure if the solder doesn't drop onto anything else.

You can try to cover the surface below with paper or something and tape down the pcb board to prevent it from moving.

I recently replaced the microswitches on two of my mice and they're now like brand new. The only thing I'd do differently in the video is to give the mouse a thorough cleaning. It looked filthy, inside and out. Not passing any judgment because my mice also do get dirty after some rigorous use. But since you're already servicing the mouse, it shouldn't take any more time to whip out a paint brush to clean the inside and some mild cleaner on a cloth to clean the outside.
