@tattooedfl0rist3427 жыл бұрын
Wilkerson i would make it with all filler and greens if you want greens.. then use the baby roses and mini carns and hot glue them into place where you want them. Making so many this would be the quickest way. Same with the bow.

@tattooedfl0rist3427 жыл бұрын
I usually make them the day before and have not had a problem with it. just keep it refrigerated. but not om the shelf that is the coldest. you don't want the flowers to freeze.

Thanks for this, I was just asked to make two- one for the bride and one for the flower girl.

Hi thank you for your video. Please do you have any tips on how to keep floral crowns fresh if you make them in advance? How long do they stay looking good?
@tattooedfl0rist3426 жыл бұрын
Sarah Bick I like to use Crowning Glory or Clear life. Both sprays. I think Michael's carries something like it. They help lock in moisture so the flowers look fresh for longer. I usually make my crowns a day or 2 before the event.
@missymiss2092 жыл бұрын

Hi! this is a great video. What kind of wire should I look for? Thanks :)
@tattooedfl0rist3427 жыл бұрын
Sarah Downey i used a straight cut 22 gauge wire.
@TheSarahaustralia7 жыл бұрын
thanks for the quick reply! Would something called 'cloth stem wire' be appropriate? Or should I use plastic coasted stem wire, or neither? Also how much tape do you use roughly per crown? Thank you :) sorry to be so specific! haha
@tattooedfl0rist3427 жыл бұрын
Sarah Downey as long as it is bendable I'm sure it will be fine. Especially since you need to cover it in tape anyways. Hard to say how much tape I used. My best guess would be about 2 1/2 feet at the absolute most! I only used a tiny bit of the roll. This one is a little flimsy and scarce but you can make them fuller and more lush. I was just doing a quick DIY. Just add more babys breath closer together
@TheSarahaustralia7 жыл бұрын

Tiffy Robertson I probably used 2 or 3 stems. If you want it fuller use a lot more. And Yes! I will totally make another one with Roses soon!

Hi. Thank you for your very quick response! I have heard of Crowning Glory.... I am not sure we have that here in England. I shall pop along to our florist and ask. Your work is very pretty. Thank you for your advice. Do you have a buttonhole video? My theme is to be in Cadburys (the chocolate company's colour) purple.

@tattooedfl0rist3426 ай бұрын
I’m pretty sure I used an 18gage wire. If that feels too heavy then go with a 20.

The wires were 18 in. I put 2 together to get some more length and make it easier to work with.

Maria's Life it's #22 green floral wire. U can get it at all floral supply place and I think at Micheals as well. They are straight and about 12 inches long. I'm not sure what the technical name is but I can find out for you tomorrow.
