Any leftover fabric could be cut into long strips and used to tie floppy plants to garden stakes and trellises. It's stretchy enough to allow for expansion as plants grow and soft so it won't cut into stems or fruit. If you trellis melons you can create slings or hammocks to support heavy fruit.

Good observation! I have one scissors that I only use on fabric, if you use your scissors to cut paper cardboard, whatever, it will no longer work good on fabric, that’s what I found 😊❤️

That's a fantastic tip Robbie! I can definitely apply the concept to my makeshift totes. I've decided to start growing tomatoes right now in plastic bags with the goal to harvest by March/April. And I can definitely pick a used pullover to cover the plastic. We have plenty clothes to get rid off. I usually only keep the 100% cotton and wool as I don't want to keep the synthetic clothes. Now, I can repurpose more of them.

I've done this with thrifted sweaters too! You can run some ribbon or string, or a piece torn off a tee shirt or unraveled from the sweater to tie around the top to make it fit the ends or tuck it inside the top edge. If you pick acrylic or synthetic sweaters they last longer, but wool is also pretty durable. I like how they look like baskets at first glance. Works to make an impromptu vase as well. I use the cut off tops of bottles as funnels for watering indoor plants. Less spillage and they can act as small water reservoirs too!

The story I could tell, I wear these around the yard in the summer, bought about 50 3 years ago from a bargain clearance store, because they were on sale for a $1 new and they are so comfortable, and I found they sell new from a company for $20....well 3 years later, I am still only wearing the first ones I opened, THEY DO NOT WEAR OUT, so I started making flower pot covers with some and it worked out great. LOL

Was watching this video on my tv as I scroll through FB. Top of a black and brown dog started showing up and I said Robbie has posted a picture of Kitty. No it was our animal shelter asking if anyone knew the dog(same color as Kitty but not as fluffy). Yes owner found. Zephyr is 15 yrs old and escapes out of his fence. Had to share
