File away from yourself that is how file is designed. Add a drop of nail polish and nuts will not back off. m love your videos been watching for years.

and a little glue or rubber cement on the threads would help with the constant adjustments

That clock on your workbench definitely reminds me of the timer on Forged in Fire. 😆 You can try heat treating the blade tips to make them stronger I suppose.
@Xolette2 жыл бұрын
That clock is my husband's Rogue timer-- he uses it for his workouts! From what I've read and comments, the steel doesn't have enough carbon to be heat treated. I did throw them other day and it seems like they tips aren't bending as much-- maybe I hammered them out enough? Could be me though!

The file cuts in the forward direction.

Aw, man! Thank you!

it looks to me like your filing backwards that will work for the double cut file but the single cut you used next wouldnt be doing much of anything just fyi

Thank you! I need all the help I can get. I used KZbin for some of the advice on metal working-- and I guessed I missed that part on direction. I appreciate the advice!

Only when I'm inspired! I might have a video in the future on my other channel XoletteLife, but nothing planned as of yet on this channel.

Last time you had your daughter on a video. Your daughter was in diapers and couldn't talk yet. Now she's saying "hie-ya" like a Shaolin Kung Fu master. Maybe you can make her a Ninja costume for Halloween next year.
@Xolette2 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah, I'd love to! I actually made her "ninja pants" for her summer martial arts class. But I make her whatever she chooses! I'm hoping next year she gives me a Naruto costume assignment :)

@@Xolette Had to look up Naruto on the web. The only anime when I was a kid was Speed Racer and Mysterious X. All the anime I see is so new.
@Xolette2 жыл бұрын
@@whomagoose6897 I didn't watch any Anime growing up-- I think Dragon Ball z came out when I was in high school. But started watching Naruto with my daughter and I love it. Lots of throwing, learning to be a Shinobi, and all the characters are well developed-- I highly recommend!

run the wingnut down tight on the 3/4" bolt and then peen over the end of the threads and you wont lose your wing nuts..
@Xolette2 жыл бұрын
I was thinking of doing that! I had trouble getting nuts on my threaded rods when the threads got messed up from knife throws-- but I wasn't sure if that was a thing people did on purpose. Anyway, thanks for the advice!
