Make sure you subscribe to follow our daily lives in this farm!
Hey to everyone!!
We are two young adults, Despina 24 and Deivids 25 renovating an old farm house from 1817 in Latvia.
Everything in and out of our house has been done by ourselves with no hired help.
DIY is going to apply to nearly everything in our house. Our budget is tight and that has made us appreciate every “ugly” part of this house and turn it into something new and beautiful.
We give new life to things that others would throw away!
In this journey we are not alone! We are starting up our little Farmily:
7 Goats & 2 Bucks
3 Sheep
4 chickens & 3 Chicks
1 Rooster
and 3 Geese
Oh yeah and our cat Ivi & Dog Keita
Despite our daily problems we are two young people full of joy and happiness, ready to start a new crazy chapter in our life. It wouldn’t be fair to keep this fun just for us!
That’s why we want YOU to also be part of our Farmily!!
We love our very supportive community!!
Thank you so much for the support you are giving us. Every view, like, share, subscribe and financial support means a lot to us. Any support is extremely appreciated!

You need "outriggers" (like on the South Seas canoes with the 'wings' to stabilize the narrow boat} to keep you upright. Well, those and more meals to add weight, lol.

Having a front end loader with bucket and graffel fork for your farm tractor would have served your needs a lot more, and especially in the winter time when you need something that will drive in deeper snow.

Definitely useful but a lot bigger and more expensive. Plus I want something for small jobs first can't use the big tractor for everything. But I plan to build one for the big tractor just need to learn and understand how to do it! 😁

What about adding a roll bar for safety and extra weight?
@DoBeDiff
@DoBeDiff Жыл бұрын
It would be useful for safety but then the centre of gravity is getting even higher making it more likely to fall. And if it falls I can jump out it's better to have no obstructions so I can get out fast. I haven't fallen yet and have made many improvements for stability! 😁

weight can be added to the big rear wheels. It might be more stable. Dual wheels would give more side to side balance. Your projects are very fun.

Lol the first vehicle I ever drove was a doodlebug! -- It was a old blue car cut in half and made into a truck with a wooden truck bed to haul stuff around the farm -- I dont remember if Dad sold it or scrapped it but I do think he might have swapped it for a crank start Farmall Tractor we used

You can fill the ties easily. Buy a bag of calcium chloride and mix the whole bag in 45 gallons of water. Make a fitting for the side a the barrel, roll your valve stem to the top and remove the valve core. Hook the hose from the barrel to the valve stem. (You'll have to remove the hose from the stem periodically to let air out. This should fill up the tire to the stem. The rest of the room is for air. Then air it back up. The barrel will have to be elevated above the tire to gravity feed in. The barrel full will be enough for both tires. GL. Looking good though.

Advise: your hydraulic system is to fast seen the moving. Place a limiter valve to get down the flow let say by 40%. Then the moving of the system would more smooth and more controllable.

You are enjoying the project and learning, however, I suspect that the original tractors could benefit from some love and be more productive. I am concerned that it is hugely unstable and not really fit for hard work without too many risks to your health safety. Some similar machine had the driver sit right at the back in a sort of crude add on cage, sometimes just a cantilevered seat., the idea did not catch on. Clearly, the concept had noticeable limitations! As a hay much gatherer spreader, it appeared more successful,
