That is gorgeous! Very sleek and attractive. Initially I wasn't certain it was a worthwhile time investment to tape the drawers in order to add black to the edges but you were definitely 1,000% correct. That added so much to the piece. It now has a timeless style, it could fit with just about any decor.

It's BEAUTIFUL! I liked the 1st stain also. It made warm. They say if you wet the wood with water (it will raise the grain a bit) or with mineral spirits you get the idea how it will absorb the stain... I have never tested that but You should give it a go before staining your next piece. Maybe it will reveal possible problems. I love your work and I always learn something new. Thanks so much for sharing

I'm not a fan of black painted furniture but the contrast with the wood is beautiful! The hardware is perfect. I really like the top being stained so if you decide to sand it off, please try staining again. If you paint the top that beautiful contrast will be gone.

Thanks for the tip! I believe I used conditioner on this one or mineral spirits which I since then use quite regularly because it works so much better and is consistent. Every piece of furniture is different however, you never know. Thanks for watching! 😊
