My dealer wants $475 for the 20-hour service! Thanks for the video

Glad the video helped. Ridiculous for a dealer to charge that much for such a simple job.

I don't know what dealer you're going to but it doesn't take 20 hours to do the service and it should only be charging you 300 that's what I paid for my first service my next service won't be done until I reach a hundred hours so the first one is at 20 the second one is at a hundred hours at that time they will check and inspect the belt and see if it needs to be adjusted that's something that I don't really want to mess with but as far as changing all the fluids It's relatively easy as far as you can see in that video and I also told that guy I see that he has his sway bar connected you do not need your sway bar connected you will do way better off road you will have articulation you are very limited with that sway bar in

There's more to a service than just changing your fluids you need to check all your nuts and bolts and fasteners your side panels you need to check regularly

Rob W ya I’ll save $480 and do it myself. Besides when I went to that same dealer to purchase the correct Kawasaki oil, they didn’t even carry it. I asked them what were they planning on putting in my machine for $480? They said the oil they have is “the Same”. Apparently it didn’t matter what the manual said. 🙄

Hi, really liked your video. I'm new to using a inch torque wrench, and could you explain how to set it going from 120 up using the dial on the handle that goes from 0-8. Not to sure on how to get 135. Mine jumps from 120 to 240 and so on.

Thanks for the video I see you still have your sway bar take it off you don't need it when you're off Roading now you have very little articulation trust me when you take that thing off when you go off-roading you will see exactly what I'm talking about when you are off camber on a hill you won't have one wheel up in the air you will have both Wheels planted on the ground it's a much better ride as well

Rob W I actually took the sway bar loose a few months after I did this video. I agree made a big difference and don’t miss it all.

@@journeys-with-joe cool smart move some people just unbolt the two rod ends in zip time up top I took mine all the way out I talked to the guys from brute performance and they told me take that thing all the way out and get rid of it which I already knew because I'm a former Jeep rock crawler

Is it possible to remove the drain plug and not get any oil around on the diff, skid plate? I had to get the dealer to mine, and they said they changed the diff fluids but it’s dry as can be around the plug
@journeys-with-joe
@journeys-with-joe 5 жыл бұрын
JoshCourts The drain hold in the skid plate is fairly large so it’s not a messy job by any means. You make more of a mess putting fluid back in but if you have the right funnel even that is very clean. Just be sure you have the receipt as a record of the dealer changing it in case you have any issues down the road.

Did you notice any difference when riding? Noise or power or braking.
@journeys-with-joe
@journeys-with-joe 6 жыл бұрын
Bud Car I have not noticed any difference and it’s been more than a year now. No noise from the differentials and rear braking is the same. Not good on a Teryx anyways but definitely not worse.

Rear fluid can be tractor hydraulic/transmission fluid like HyGard. On 2008 and older models the front differential takes a 10w40 motor oil. Thanks for video!
