Congrats! It’s amazing!!! I feel like you are Einstein of motorcycles by exploring and sharing everything including your code😊. Thank you so much. Cheers mate!

No problem. There wasn't any reason for me to keep the information to myself. It was more of a learning experience for myself.

Awesome lighting job! Very cool to see this on a 2nd Gen Hayabusa. I have a 2013 and am trying to decide between the Givi 56L and the 47L. Are you happy with the 56 (balancing utility and appearance) or do you think the 47 would have been fine?

Thanks! The 56L supplies a lot of utility. I'm the type that likes to be prepared so having space for extra items is nice. I have a fairly large backpack and needing room to fit it and my lunch plus some shoes was really handy. As for looks, it's subjective though I never felt that it really took away from the looks. However, I also never felt the need to add more speed to that beast. Also never felt anything destabilizing by having it on the back but then again I was not going fast enough to ever tell. My wife and kids very much appreciated having the back rest which made them feel more secure.

What do you think about putting the strip above the OEM cutouts, more light I would assume a possibly better looking chase effect.
@geckoinc993 жыл бұрын
I just used the holes where the OEM lights were made to go. The LEDs are actually fairly small and shine through just fine other than the spacing is a little off. I don't remember there being a lot of space between the lens and the case. If you wanted more light, I would suggest a dedicated LED bulb (red or white) with a high MCD and then wire them in with some type of controller that an arduino can address. This is just what worked for me and it was a chance to play with addressable LEDs.

Wow Any chance to purchase the item ready from you? as a package for us to install it on the bike. That would be awesome Waiting for your reply :)

Sorry, just don't have the time to pre-make this. There are other options out there that would probably cost about the same to purchase as it would be for me to make it. My instructables covers the build though. Hardest part was finding the signal wires.

How much would you charge to make one for my bike?

I'm not in a position to make a custom setup for someone else. I wrote an instructable that covers how to do the build though. www.instructables.com/DIY-Givi-V56-Motorcycle-Topbox-Light-Kit-With-Inte/
