You can seal the vynil with a dishwasher safe modge podge or any other water based ceramic sealant

Htv on mine came out if I rubbed it. But permanent adhesive stayed on. I don't know if yours stayed on

Cricut Permanent vinyl (and ORACAL 651) is the best on a mug so far from KZbinrs. (dishwasher safe)

Because regular vinyl is nothing more than a sticker. You are basically “melting” this on by applying high heat.
