Your little girl is such a sweetie! I love your video's, there are some things I know I can do myself. I'm single, so I have to learn.

When your 2 year old was knocking the camera over, you were doing something around the post with a rod. What was that for?
@SimonSaysDIY2 жыл бұрын
I was anchoring the post to the ground with rebar.

Great video, thank you. Those support posts on the end, why are they on the outside of the end post? I would think that putting them on the inside would better brace the end post from bowing in. (I have zero experience so this may be a dumb question)

That may be right, I was trying to avoid getting in the way of the grapevine’s root base. Thanks!

Why no turnbuckles on the support wires to adjust tension?
@SimonSaysDIY2 жыл бұрын
Yeah that’s correct. It makes tightening the wires much easier. I’m figuring once the vines mature and fruit is weighing done the wires I may need to tighten them to keep from sagging. Thanks!

You should wear safety glasses when using a chain saw!!!

Yes, you are right I should be waring them more often. I'll try to work on that! Thanks!

Search for other designs. There are several people out there with simpler, cheaper, and longer lasting setups.

Bro, appreciate the hustle BUT if you’re going to do a DIY project like this you need to do your research how commercial growers setup their trellises. I’m sure you will discover as time goes on, there were several errors you made that could have been easily avoided with a simple google before you embarked on this project. I don’t want to come across as a hater or discourage you on your journey. I definitely think you have a knack for simple, easy to follow, and thorough video; however this had some issues to it and was needlessly over complicated/expensive.

While I DO understand the satisfaction of a well done DIY, you could buy a LOT of grapes at the grocery store for the price of this project.
@SimonSaysDIY Жыл бұрын
Yes very true, but it's also fun for me to grow my own. Thanks! 😄

That’s if you can still get grapes at the store someday.

@@kennethmitchell2785 If conditions are beyond the commercial growing of grapes, I seriously doubt home-grown will be an option.

@@Vector_Ze true. But I said someday. It’s too late to plant a garden when you’re starving.
